Bakugan Games Have Become The Top Collectible Card Game

By Antonio Espinoza

Bakugan toys are increasing everyday in popularity among kids. These toys come from the same popular Japanese animated TV series called "Bakugan Battle Brawlers", which is about a group of kids that are battling their monsters in a card game that will decide the fate of the universe.

Bakugan is the product of the combined efforts of Sega Games and Spin Master, and copies the concept of the cartoon. The playing cards feature the same characters from the TV show similar to the toys, that will transform into a battle brawler when rolled out over the gate cards on the battle field.

Similar to games such as Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, it is also a collectible card game that brings back the concept of marbles. Each player takes turns attempting to stand one of their spheres onto the magnetic gate cards. While the cards are fun to collect and trade, it is the collectible, marble like transforming monsters that kids love. There are various kinds of spheres to collect, and even more soon to be released with the games growing popularity.

The instructions are simple to get, and very easy to understand for any kid that has ever seen the animated series. The players will alternate laying down their gate cards on the field, and then roll one of their bakugan battle brawlers onto the field across the cards to get it to stand on them. If they don't land on a card it is the other players turn. When a player lands two of his brawlers on the same card, then the card is taken into that player's possession. When both players land one of their battle brawlers on the same gate card then the two player have to battle for the card. The gate card they are both on is then turned over, and add up the G points to each brawler to decide who wins the battle. The winner captures the card. The player that captures three cards first wins.

The game is easy to play, and is very fun. Different rule variation can be applied to the game also. There are many accessories that are sold that can add to the experience of your Bakugan games, such as the battle brawler shooters and the battle arena. The rules that come with the battle arena are explained slightly different, but as long as both parties agree to rule changes, then rule variations are fine. - 20896
